Meet the Dorks
Justin Kennedy
Head Dork - Master Luthier - Bassist (go ahead, make a joke)
Joe Bartone
Joe has been playing music with Justin for years (*decades) and was the first employee of J Kennedy Guitars. Joe is a Taylor certified tech and handles complex set ups on electric and acoustic guitars, as well as nut and fretwork.
Tiernan McKinney
Tiernan is our Service Manager, a bass player, and custom luthier in his own right. Tiernan is a graduate of Guitar Craft Academy at Musician’s institute and is a Fender, Taylor, and Martin Certified luthier. At the shop, he specializes in high level repair work like truss rod replacements, headstock repairs, specialized fretwork, custom woodworking, and electronics.

Nick Blasky
A fixture of the Cincinnati music scene, Nick Blasky is a talented multi-instrumentalist. At his previous employer Nick won awards at the NAMM show for his work on ukuleles. In our shop he handles bass and guitar set ups, nut and fretwork, and a bevy of specialty instrument work. And if you have a question about Frank Zappa he probably has an answer.
Jasper Adams
Jasper is our acoustic specialist. A graduate of the Galloup School of Lutherie, Jasper handles incredibly high level acoustic repairs of all type. Neck resets, structural repairs, cracks, and custom saddles and nuts all cross his bench on a weekly basis. Jasper is a Martin certified luthier. His custom acoustic guitars are true works of art and will make you question why you play anything else.

Andy Sorentino
Depsite being the oldest guy in the shop, Andy approaches guitar work with a youthful vigor. Andy is a Fender Silver certified technician, and attended the Galloup School of Lutherie for training. In the shop Andy handles guitar set ups and electronics. He loves working on double neck guitars, so if you have one he’d love to see it on his bench.
Joe Tango
Joe is the newest employee and also has the tallest haircut of any of the staff. He looks like punk rocker but is a skilled luthier. Joe is a graduate of the Galloup School of Lutherie. He specializes in guitar set up work, structural acoustic repairs, nut replacements, and fretwork.
